Dr. Lese has primary responsibility for all aspects of the business and investment activities.
Gail Lese, M.D., M.B.A., is the founder and CEO of Lese Investments L.L.C. and the portfolio manager of the Lese Funds. Dr. Lese has a distinguished track record in finance and in medicine. As the fund manager of the Fidelity Select Food and Agriculture portfolio, Dr. Lese led the $100 million fund to achieving one of the highest absolute returns in the United States within nine months of assuming leadership of the fund. The fund was identified by BusinessWeek as one of "The Best Mutual Funds" (October 8, 2001). Dr. Lese outperformed the S&P 500 by 29.3% during her tenure as fund manager, with beta=0.20. The Morningstar fund rating was raised to the highest rating of 5 Stars from 3 Stars (3-year performance) during her leadership.
Dr. Lese has strong and in-depth, diversified investment expertise in: healthcare, emerging technology, information technology, consumer discretionary & staples, financial services, industrial, and material companies.
Dr. Lese earned a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, a Doctor in Medicine from Cornell University Medical College, and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Lehigh University, earning a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Philosophy and Biology. Prior to entering the investment profession, Dr. Lese practiced medicine in Los Angeles. She did her medical training in Pediatric Medicine and Pediatric Neurological Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Dr. Lese has conducted medical and policy research that has received national and international acclaim and has been an invited speaker for national and international meetings. Her research has been published in leading medical journals including Neurosurgery, Archives of Neurology, and the European Journal of Pediatric Surgery.
Dr. Lese has a deep commitment to public service and volunteerism. Her extensive volunteer service has included serving on the board of directors of the Mass Mentoring Partnership, the American Red Cross & Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Cape Cod; tutoring and mentoring students in the Boston, Los Angeles, and New York public school systems; founding multiple community service programs including an after-school program at one of the largest high schools in Massachusetts and a scholarship program to help economically disadvantaged students attend college; service as a volunteer physician at the L.A. Free Clinic; and helping to procure and grant wishes for terminally ill children with the Make a Wish Foundation. As a result of her distinguished leadership and impact in public service, Dr. Lese was named a Warm2Kids Leader Role Model.

Lee Spelman Doty, Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management
Mrs. Lee Spelman Doty (Wharton’76) is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Mrs. Doty heads the team of U.S. Equity client portfolio managers and is responsible for the institutional and retail equity channels.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 1989, Mrs. Doty was the Director of Research and technology specialist at Martin Simpson and Co., a brokerage house specializing in technology and health care research. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
At Penn, Mrs. Doty is President of the Penn Alumni Board of Directors and Chair of the Penn Alumni Executive Committee. She also serves on the Board of Overseers of the Graduate School of Education and on the Executive Board of Penn Medicine. She is a member of the Penn Alumni Council and was a founding member of the Penn Club of New York. Mrs. Doty was a past vice chair of the Trustees Council of Penn Women and has served as co-chair, along with her husband and classmate, George E. Doty, Jr., of her Class Gift Committee for several reunions. She and her husband have supported financial aid through endowed scholarships and have supported numerous other areas of the University.
Mrs. Doty and her husband reside in New York City with their three children, one of whom, Christopher, is a Penn alum (C’06).

Renee Noto, Managing Partner at Crown Advisory International Ltd.
Renee is a Managing Partner at Crown Advisory International Ltd., a small/mid cap long/short equity hedge fund in New York City. Prior to Crown, she founded Talon Advisors LLC, a fund of funds, and was responsible for asset allocation, research, marketing, IR and day to day operations. She also co-founded (2007) another management company, Flexion Asset Management, to operate an additional global fund of funds and an asset management firm. With a passion for investing, prior to co-founding two firms, Renee was the co-head of research at New Providence Asset Management and prior to this, she was a founding partner at Narragansett Asset Management, a $1 billion long/short equity hedge fund. She has work experience as Goldman, Sachs and Fidelity Management & Research. Ms. Noto received a BA in Math and Geography from Dartmouth College in '88 and was awarded the Rufus Choate Scholar. She received her MBA from Harvard University. She is a member of the Investment Committee at the Emma Willard School and resides in Greenwich, CT.

Leena Akhtar is curator of "Women on Wall Street" currently on exhibit at the Museum of American Finance (MAF) in Manhattan and scholar on Hetty Green (1934-1916), the first female Wall Street tycoon and a Greenwich resident. Lena will join the discussion to explore the historic role of women in the world of finance and Wall Street.
