Dear fellow HBS’ers -
Welcome to the community of Harvard Business School Alumni who live or work in Connecticut. We are delighted that you have found your way to this site and hope that you will become involved or continue to be involved with the HBS Club of Connecticut!
Our roster of Club events has increased significantly as we've expanded our offering of business, education, social, career networking and community action programs. 2008 marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Harvard Business School and our Club has planned several special events to commemorate this historic occasion. Our first ever Turbo Award event last November recognized The Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich for the best ideas to spark innovation and benefit our community. In conjunction with New Country Porsche dealership we presented the organization with a $20,000 award to implement their In the Kitchen program. We are planning a panel discussion on February 28 to elaborate on "The Future of Philanthropy" with Professor Nicolas Retsinas, Chair of Habitat for Humanity International.
We plan to offer a variety of club events to engage our base of more than 2400 HBS alumni and at the same time we seek to develop a mutually beneficial relationship with the local communities in which we reside.
Our very successful Community Partners of Connecticut represents the continuation of an almost 20 year old national program run by Harvard Business School alumni for the betterment of their local communities. We are fortunate to have a large, seasoned group of alumni from diverse professional backgrounds living and working in CT who are committed to volunteerism and public service.
Be sure to keep your contact information up to date so that we can keep you informed of upcoming club events. Just visit our home page and sign in to update information. Also, please tell friends and associates from HBS about the club and ask them to update their contact information, too.
We have an active Club Officer Team and welcome new members and volunteers! If you are interested in getting involved with the club, whether by hosting an event, leading a special interest group, offering feedback, or helping in another way, please contact one of us today.
All the best,
